This was in a magazine I was skimming while at the chiropractor's office the other day. It's an advertisement for The Point Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to gay and lesbian youth. My question: Is "suicidal victim of societal oppression" the ONLY promotional angle they could come up with?? Jeez. I like the effort, but can't stand the style.

I got a (mass-produced) Christmas card from that kid (I give money to PF).
He's probably just the most photogenic of their scholarship recipients. ;-)
I think he's just a model used in ads. There's a link on their site for all the scholarship recipients and he's not one of them (at least that I can tell).
Another advetising faux pas. I think I may donate, too. Especially now that I know you do. The mentoring thing is interesting, too.
